The Myth of Luck
In today’s world, many people believe that success is a rare and elusive treasure, reserved only for the lucky few.
This idea has become deeply ingrained in our society, leading many to think that if they aren’t born with certain advantages, they’ll never achieve their dreams.
But what if this belief is actually false?
How the Myth of Luck Became So Common
This belief that success is a matter of luck or inherent talent is widespread. It’s easy to see why: our schools focus on teaching specific subjects like math or history, but they don’t teach us how to apply that knowledge to achieve our personal goals.
Parents often encourage safety and stability rather than risk-taking or innovation. For those without mentors or role models, the path to success can seem even more obscure.
This commonly held belief has resulted in a range of issues:
Example #1: Many people avoid taking risks, believing they’re not “lucky” enough to succeed.
Example #2: Others take excessive risks, thinking that success is purely a matter of chance, which leads to poor decisions.
Example #3: The gap between the successful and everyone else widens, creating a sense of hopelessness for those who feel left behind.
The Idea of Luck is Harmful
The idea that success is determined by luck is not only incorrect but also harmful.
Success isn’t about who you are innately or the circumstances you were born into; it’s about what you do with the natural gifts and talents you have.
I’ve seen this firsthand in my own life.
I wasn’t born a heart surgeon—I had to develop the skills and mindset over time, facing countless challenges along the way. The same principles that guided me in my medical career also helped me achieve success in other areas like finance, fitness, and business.
When you let go of the belief that success is out of your control, you open yourself up to new possibilities.
By adopting a new system, like the one I developed—Clamp Time—you can achieve what you once thought was impossible.
Improve Your “Luck” Without Wishing For It
“Chance favors the prepared mind” as Pasteur famously said.
The first actionable step you can take right now is to commit to believing in a new approach.
Even if you’re skeptical, start by accepting that the system I’m about to introduce can work for you.
As you begin to shift your mindset, you’ll notice changes in your life. You’ll start to see opportunities where you once saw obstacles. You’ll gain confidence in your ability to shape your future, rather than feeling at the mercy of luck or circumstance.
By embracing this new way of thinking, you’ll be able to perform at levels that others only dream of, achieving your goals with clarity and purpose.
Luck is Overrated
The idea that success is reserved for the lucky few is becoming outdated.
More and more people are realizing that it’s not about luck, but about having the right system in place.
As this shift continues, those who cling to the old belief will find themselves left behind, while those who adopt this new perspective will thrive.
The future belongs to those who understand that success is a matter of deliberate action, not chance.
By embracing this new mindset and applying the strategies I’ll be sharing with you, you can create the life you’ve always wanted.
Don’t let the old ways of thinking hold you back—step into the future with confidence, knowing that you have the power to achieve your dreams.
There are a lot of motivational frameworks that help you achieve success but very few of them are actionable.
Everyone wants to achieve. It is ingrained within us. Everyone wants to improve and to attain a better life than they have right now. Some want wealth, others an incredible physique. Some seek knowledge or great health , or maybe the freedom to do what you want with who you want whenever you want for as long as you want. Some want to be a champion. Others want to provide for their family. Everyone want to feel a sense of accomplishment and pride. Some of us want it all.
But there is a problem. The problem is there is no curriculum for success. Schools teach subject matter biology, math, how to read. They don’t teach how to use that knowledge to get what you want.
Parents teach you how to be safe, get a good job, be like them. Nothing wrong with that but it’s not the strategy for high level achievement.
Some people are lucky enough to find a mentor who shows you the way, but even then you have to put the curriculum together in your mind over years and that’s ubiquitous, its not available to everyone.
This has let to a commonly held misconception. That success is something people either luck into, or is available to the very few. Not everyone can have it. It’s rare. It’s special. This leads to many feeling disillusioned like its out of reach for them. YOLO, existential dread, act your wage and quiet quitting encompass the same general phenomenon – a belief that without a bright future one might as well not even try.
Believing that you can’t achieve or that achievement is based on luck has consequences:
- It has led to social stratification dividing us more than it brings us together.
- The gaps within our society are widening. The gap between rich and poor? The gap between healthy and unhealthy, the gap between
educated and non educated. These gaps widen and many fall into them like an abyss where they can’t see their way out. - This belief that only some can achieve has caused many great people to avoid taking risks, to play it safe because they feel its not possible for them.
- Its also caused some people to take greater risks than they should. If one believes success is based on luck they might gamble foolishly.
But I think this belief is flawed because I’ve studied success, I’ve lived success, I’ve seen others achieve what they felt was impossible and I believe it has much less to do with who you are innately or the circumstances you find yourself in and much more to do with what you do with the natural gifts and talents you were given.
I wasn’t born a heart surgeon. I struggled along the way, there were times when I messed up, couldn’t do it, was told I shouldn’t do it, felt anxious, contemplated quitting, but those feelings and experiences provided the road map to get me to where I am now, as one of the busiest and best heart surgeons in the world. It was not who I was innately (although I have some talents like all of us) , it was the system I developed. I had to build and develop the achievement and performance muscle over time by using its own special type of training which consists of unique strategies and techniques.
Incidentally, I also wasn’t born with financial success, or with parents who encouraged entrepeurialism. I used this system to achieve other successes, in finance fitness, business, wealth.
If you are struggling to achieve, don’t know where to start, or if you simply want that extra gear to take you to the next level, I am going to explain how to do it. You must purge the old belief that success is for few out of your mind, and learn to live as I do in a new system, a new philosophy called Clamp Time.
There is one first step, one action item that you can do right away. You must commit to believing that clamp time can take you to where you want to be. You can be skeptical, that’s ok, but the first step starts with believing that this system can help you achieve what you thought was impossible.
There is a reason I think you should believe it. I specialize in heart surgery and not neurosurgery, this framework specializes in elevation, not motivation. I am not a motivator and I’m making that clear from the very beginning. I am an elevator.
Elevation comes in many forms but in the context of clamp time, it means taking yourself from where you are now to a totally new place where you accomplish your goals and visions, break through barriers with ease and perform at levels your competition only dreams of – to land that dream job, to perform when it counts, to have the life you always wanted. to become a superhero version of yourself.
That’s the elevation Im excited to show you. Its not motivation. You already have that. You’re listening to this. This course is like a magnifying glass in the Sun. It takes the fire already within and feeds it to become an inferno.
